Kicking off a new segment on the blog: Date Night. First things first, date night does not necessarily mean a romantic date, it can be if you like, but it can also be a date night with your best gal pal, a group of friends, or even by yourself. Don’t dis the solo date. Who says you can’t have a date night on a hump day?
Where? Queen Victoria Market, 513 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.
When? Every Wednesday night from 7 June to 30 August 2017, 5pm – 10pm.
How much? Free – Food, drink, and souvenirs range in price.
After doing very well over the summer, the Queen Victoria Market has well and truly kicked off their Winter Night Market every Wednesday night. Living close, I’m always up for these markets, plus it’s free to get in, generally has a great vibe, and I love seeing what people in this city create.
If you have never been before, it’s a night market from 5pm – 10pm every Wednesday at the Queen Victoria Markets in the CBD/sort of classified North Melbourne. They have an array of live music, bars, every kind of food and dessert you can think of, and a variety of stalls. The stalls are generally handmade independent businesses and can range from clothing, jewellery, candles, hair products, psychics, massage, photography, and everything else in between. Although the summer markets are generally larger, the winter markets provide a great opportunity to spend some time with your lover, friends, or yourself in a unique setting and sip on some mulled wine without breaking the bank.
Hot tip: Get there early if you want to avoid the crowds!
